Sunday roast @ the George Payne

George Payne

Today we fancied a cheeky roast after a swim at the local pool, we picked The George Payne, it’s tucked away in off Portland Rd in Hove and well worth seeking out. All of the local families love it in there and it’s easy to see why.

All child and baby friendly, down to high chairs, colouring pencils, toys and sweetie jars. FAB food (they also have a great outside area for warmer months). Mr C and H played on the retro video games whilst I read the Sunday supplements.

Love the bra bin! Do women remove their old bras there and then I wondered? Didn’t happen to see any willing, maybe after a few glasses..

We picked the veggie option for a change, butternut squash nut roast which came with all the trimmings, the girl being a complete fuss pot I had to modify hers, no gravy, muchos carrots, but not a single leaf or spec of cabbage please (groan..).

No room for dessert, we took a couple of chocolate teacakes home with us to nibble on later. Home to naps, Top Trumps and chill time, what Sundays are all about.. Lx
